TET

TET stands for Teacher's Eligibility Test. A state conducts this test for his own sake like Haryana conducts HTET, Punjab takes PTET, Rajasthan goes for RTET. The validity of state TET is limited within the boundaries of that particular state only. A candidate appearing for UPTET will be getting a job in Utter Pradesh only. One looking forward to work in Rajasthan, will have to clear RTET, result of HTET or PTET will be of no use in Rajasthan state.

All states are not on the track of conducting their own TETs and hence they rely on the result of CTET which is conducted by the government of India.

Moreover, the course contents and other norms of all TETs remain similar in nature with the validity period of 5 years. CTET is valid for 7 years from the date of result declaration.

There is no restriction on the number of the attempts a candidate can take for acquiring a CTET certificate.
